Who is the responsible data controller?
Addtruly AB, Swedish registration no. 556979-8613, with address Stena Center 1B, 412 92 Gothenburg, Sweden, and e-mail email@example.com, is responsible as data controller for the processing of the personal data that you provide to us.
The personal data that we process is the data that you provide to us when you for example make a donation and leave your name and e-mail address. We process the data for the purpose to administrate your donation and fulfill our obligations to you as a benefactor. For this purpose we may share the abovementioned personal data with our partners, such as our provider of payment solution, IT providers and Affiliated Companies. If you give us your consent, your personal data may also be used for direct marketing, newsletters, customer surveys, statistical purposes and for sending e-mails to you (see further information below).
What data do we store?
This policy provides information on what personal data we collect and how this data is used. The policy applies to data we collect though our digital platforms when you:
i. donate money through Addtruly’s digital fundraising tool at www.addtruly.com or on Affiliated Companies’ websites
ii. donate money through Unify for Goods bankgiro
iii. buy a gift certificate at our gift shop
iv. sign up for a subscription to our newsletters or our guides
v. sign up for any of our events and conferences
vi. participate in any of our competitions

- Phone number
- IP address
How we use the data we collect
Through Addtruly, the Unify for Good Foundation fundraises money from individuals to Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across the world. Addtruly processes your personal data for the purposes set out below and for any additional purposes specified at the time of a fundraising campaign:
I. to inform you about the work and activities carried out by Addtruly and relevant NGOs
II. to thank you for received gifts and to tell you about how funds are being used
III. to fulfill orders of gift certificates
IV. to comply with legal requirements regarding storage of agreements
V. to inform you about new current fundraising campaigns
VI. to increase the fundraised amount by requesting new or extra gifts
VII. to conduct market research in order to better understand the donors’ needs and wishes, thus developing and adapting features on Addtrulys website as well on the digital platform
VIII. to enable good fundraising service – such as managing your requests and requests effectively, correcting incorrect information or sending information you request
IX. for system administration and to maintain good registry management
X. to get statistical data about our donor’s donations and donor patterns. Note: This is done on an aggregated level without identifying individuals.
XI. to conduct segmentation and profiling of donor groups in the analysis and processing of donors in order to develop and adapt our communication to suit you or a similar donor group
XII. to conduct analysis of your user activity in our digital channels – such as website, newsletters, social media – deliver, develop and improve our communications as well as your user experience on platforms offered by us
XIII. to send important information, such as changes in our terms and policies.
We may share your data with a third party
We, and all our partners, always implement several security measures to guarantee highest possible security and confidentiality. Within Addtruly, we have firewalls and antivirus software to protect and prevent unauthorized access to our networks and systems. Our employees have strict instructions and procedures for handling all personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
As far as our partners are concerned, we commit to having valid personal data agreement with all suppliers. We only collaborate with partners dealing with personal data within the EU / EEA, or with companies that maintain the same level of protection as within the EU / EEA – by joining Privacy Shield, an agreement on the protection of personal data between the EU and the United States, or by separate agreement.
Storage and deletion of personal data
By submitting personal data to Addtruly, the information about you and your eventual gift is recorded and stored. Our personal data processing procedures are in accordance with current legislation and means that personal data are not retained for a longer period than is necessary for the purposes of the processing.
Your personal data will be saved as long as it is relevant or necessary for the purposes for which it has been collected. If your personal data is stored in our donor register, the data can be saved up to 36 months after you last communicated with us – for example, gift donation. Some information may be retained for longer due to other legal requirements, such as the Accounting Act.
The new regulations regulated by GDPR give you as individual even more rights to decide yourself what data we can use and how we can use it.
In accordance with applicable personal data law, you are entitled to ask for and receive information about our personal data processed by us. If you wish to receive such information, please send us a written requirement per mail or e-mail. The written request must be signed by you.
You can always let us know if you do not want us to contact you or receive any further information by sending us an email or by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter you receive from us.
There are two types of cookies: 1) a permanent cookie that remains on your computer for a period of time; 2) a session cookie that is temporarily stored in the computer’s memory while you are visiting a web page. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser.
